This year’s “Cinco de Mayo” resulted in more sales of the song, “Cinco de Mayo” by American Zen.
This song was recorded without any electrical instruments. A couple acoustic guitars and lots of handclaps, finger snaps and a small tambourine with a head on it.
I produced the song so it could have been recorded two hundred years ago.
“Cinco de Mayo” is the shortened version of the song “Flintridge Fire” by American Zen on the album: LEVEL 4 = Kung Fu Cowboy Pt.1: King Solomon’s Temple.
When I was young I loved an album titled: 101 Strings: Soul of Spain.
I LOVE that Spanish Classical Music album. It was one of my primary inspirations as a young musician. I would love to have that 101 Strings Orchestra to record “Flintridge Fire” / “Cinco de Mayo” with me conducting. That would be a dream come true.
