The Buddhist Journey Begins Again
on June 17, 2018

Buddha Zhen is being featured in a documentary produced by the Tzu Chi Foundation.  On Monday the video crew of Borjia and Hector arrived at the Martin Luther King Recuperative Care Center to interview Zhen Shen-Lang “Richard Del Connor” after he’d received a pair of free eyeglasses from a Tzu Chi Foundation mobile eye clinic in April.  They were intrigued by a Caucasian Buddhist who taught Shaolin Kung Fu and Tai Chi Chuan.  Buddha Zhen was invited to their annual ‘Buddha Day / Mother’s Day’ event at their amazing temple in Rosemead.

The video crew filmed Buddha Zhen’s Tai Chi Youth class on Thursday, followed by interviewing a couple of his students.

American Zen is excited to begin again at the beginning of the Shaolin Chi Mantis Traditional Buddhist Gongfu and Taijiquan programs.  This program of the Original Zen Buddhism “Chan Buddhism” of the original Shaolin Temple on Mt. Shandong in Northern China includes the Northern Shaolin Chan Long Fist Kung Fu, Luohan ‘Lawhorn’ Shaolin, Yang Tai Chi Chuan (from the Taoist Temple on Mt. Wudang and Chen Village below), plus the Northern Praying Mantis Kung Fu of the Shandong Shaolin Temple in the late 1600s.

Good luck keeping up.
