Buddhism is not ethics.
Buddhism is a WAY of thinking.

There are no Karmic punishments in Buddhism, although people want there to be.
The closest thing to Karma in Buddhism, is the concept of BALANCE.
Reality reacts to our actions..
Zen morality is rewritten every moment with an awareness of what happened before,,
what might happen, and primarily: WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW.

Buddhist thinking requires awareness of the moment plus awareness of your environment
plus awareness of yourself;
so whatever you decide or do is done naturally,
without hesitation or guilt.
