Bouquet Canyon Cabin

I thought that I'd be moving from pioneer Utah to civilized California.

I was wrong.

We ended up in the Angeles Forest. The Park Rangers bulldozer these homes down whenever they can. These homes were made for movie stars back in the 1930s.

Then some miners moved into them.

Then Vietnam vets wanting to get away from civilization moved in.

Then some bikers...and then us: The Coyote Clan.

We had electricity and a phone line.

Water came from the stream in our front yard.

Toilet and shower were over a cesspool. I'd never seen one before.

The house was full of spiders. A cougar ate the racoons on our roof. A scorpion in the kitchen and shooting kangaroo rats with my blowgun--brought me back to Nature.
